Leaving the nest, flying in the horizon

The Past

The Nest: Problem-solving, Products, UX

Fresh out of SUTD with a degree in Product Development and design thinking toolkit, I entered the workforce eager to "create a better world by design."
At ResMed, I tackled product issues firsthand, but my focus shifted to the user behind the screen. A UX crash course opened my eyes to a whole new design dimension. This pushed me from designing in the 3D environment to 2D environment.
Designing for at6degrees, I immersed myself in the HR world, understanding user needs and crafting personas to guide our decisions.
At Aleph Labs, I witnessed the design-development dance, learning the power of user personas, design systems, and communication to bridge the gap between designers and developers.
Each step polished my skills: problem-solving, user empathy, storytelling, and the art of persuasion. It's a journey that continues, shaping me into a professional who strives to not just fix problems, but to craft experiences that truly make a difference.

The Present

Spreading the wings: Global MBA

The lingering shadows of the pandemic had me yearning for a fresh start. I craved new knowledge, experiences, and a jolt out of my comfort zone. So, I took a leap of faith and enrolled in the Global MBA program at EDHEC, Nice France. Leaving my familiar world behind, I embarked on a solo journey halfway across the globe.
The change was exhilarating. Immersed in diverse cultures and perspectives, I delved into real-world business cases with companies like ACS, Aromazone, Delaware, Amazon Supply Chain, and Kautex. Each project presented a unique puzzle, pushing me to apply theoretical knowledge to practical challenges. Shadowing professionals at Amadeus and exploring companies in Portugal broadened my understanding of various industries and work environments.
Stepping outside the classroom was just as enriching. In 10 months, I transformed into a seasoned adventurer, exploring 12 cities and 7 countries. From the cobbled streets of Prague to the Gaudi inspired Barcelona, every corner unveiled a new adventure. More than just an academic pursuit, this experience was a personal metamorphosis. I discovered hidden strengths, embraced diversity, and honed my adaptability. Now, with a global perspective and a backpack full of memories, I am ready to navigate the exciting unknown that lies ahead. This wasn't just an MBA; it was a passport to a world of possibilities.

The Future

Flying into the Horizon

My vast experiences ranging from medical devices to banking products will add fresh perspectives to the palette. This wide range of backgrounds will allow me to stay on my feet and adapt quickly and effectively.

My innate curiosity and fast learning ability will help me zoom in and out on the picture, allowing me to focus on the big and the small details. This curiosity also makes me dive deep into all the different areas, understanding the premise of the problem and why the user is facing such a problem and then forming the solution.

This makes someone who has a strong base in Design Methodologies (Physical or Digital), someone who is curious enough to dig deep into the problem and lastly, someone who can bridge across all experiences (personal and professional) to create a better solution to the problem. Even if I do not entirely solve the problem, I will work towards solving it progressively.
